This website is owned and operated by Rise Counselling – Victoria Peters, a counselling practice offering online and telephone counselling for adults in the UK.

Therapy is provided according to the BACP Ethical Framework.

By contacting or booking with Rise Counselling, you confirm that:

  • you are seeking non-emergency therapeutic support

  • you understand that online/phone counselling is not suitable for crisis situations

If you are in crisis, please contact emergency services, NHS 111, or your local crisis team.

4. Therapy Agreement

Counselling sessions are governed by a separate Counselling Agreement, which outlines:

  • confidentiality

  • boundaries

  • cancellations

  • payment terms

  • how therapy works

  • data protection

You will receive this agreement before therapy begins.

5. Payment & Cancellations

Fees are listed on the website and may change with notice.

  • Standard sessions: paid by bank transfer before or immediately after each session

  • 4-Session Starter Pack: paid upfront

  • Low-income blocks: paid upfront

If you need to cancel or reschedule, 24–48 hours’ notice is required.

Sessions cancelled after this period may be charged at the full fee.

6. Confidentiality

Counselling is confidential except in specific circumstances such as:

  • serious risk of harm

  • safeguarding

  • legal obligations

  • professional supervision (anonymised)

Full details are provided in the Counselling Agreement.

7. Limitation of Liability

While counselling aims to support your wellbeing, I cannot:

  • guarantee specific outcomes

  • provide emergency care

  • act as a substitute for medical treatment

This website and its content are offered “as is,” without warranties of accuracy or completeness.
