Hi, I’m Tori Peters, a Counsellor and Psychotherapist.

I work with adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or constantly doubting themselves even though on the outside, they look like they’re coping.

I’m here to help you talk openly, make sense of what’s going on, and find ways forward that actually feel manageable.

You don’t need to have the perfect words, we can figure things out together.

WHY I BECAME A COUNSELLOR

In my adult life I’ve always been the person people turned to when they needed to talk.

Even before I trained, I found myself really listening, trying to understand, and wanting people to feel less alone in what they were going through.

I also know what it’s like when life feels heavy, confusing, or too much and you’re trying to handle it all silently.

I wanted to offer the kind of support I wish I had earlier in my life: a steady, honest space where you can talk about what’s really going on without feeling judged or rushed.

This work matters to me because I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, respected and supported.

WHAT THERAPY IS LIKE WITH ME

I’m warm, calm, friendly and approachable.

Sessions aren’t clinical or intimidating, they feel more like clear, honest conversations with someone who genuinely cares about understanding you.

I listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and highlight things you might not have noticed.

If something is keeping you stuck, I’ll explore it with you, never pushing, always checking in.

HOW I WORK

I’m an integrative therapist, which means I adapt the way I work to suit you.

Here’s what that actually looks like:

  • Person-Centred: You set the pace, and we focus on what matters most to you.

  • CBT tools: Only when helpful for spirals, overthinking or practical coping.

  • Psychodynamic insight: Understanding patterns and where they come from.

  • Pluralistic: We decide together what’s useful and what isn’t.

Some sessions are more reflective.

Some are clearer and more practical.

Some involve exploring underlying beliefs or patterns.

We choose what works best for you on that day.
